Where the limits come from (checked Oct 26, 2026; platforms change these, so recheck before a big campaign):
- docs.x.com: standard posts are 280 characters (weighted; links count as 23). Longer posts need X Premium. Source
- Threads: posts up to 500 characters (Instagram’s Threads help page). Source
- Instagram: 2,200-character captions (Meta developer docs). Up to 5 hashtags per post (Instagram Help Center). Source
- LinkedIn: posts up to 3,000 characters (LinkedIn Help). Source
- TikTok: 2,200 for video captions, per TikTok’s developer docs. TikTok’s help center does not publish an in-app number. Source
- Facebook: we could not find a published post limit on Meta’s help pages, so we show a count only.
